I created this blog to stir up some discussions and ideas on Full Figured Fashion!! Yes! Full Figured Fashion does exist! Today, more and more commercial retailers are expanding their size selection to include plus sizes.
According to Answers.com 2003 study, the average size of an American woman was a size 14 and the average size for an American male was is 44.

Plus size models are def taking over the scene and the runway. As a past runway instructor, I was able to make a plus size model the face of BFW for 3 years. Plus size model have better curves and more sex appeal
ReplyDeleteAre plus sized male models doing the same fashion? It seems like all plus models and even high fashion are an underground type of thing. If one does not have a deep interest about it, they will not seek to find it. For those of "regular" sizes, fashion is on every magazine cover for them or internet as.

I believe plus size fashion is something most designers do just to keep them from being talked about. There are alot of clothing items that are made for the "regular" size woman that I believe plus size women would look great in. The average american woman is a size 14 which is plus size. So why isn't the fashion industry marketing more towards us? A size 20 is just as beautiful as a size 4. People need to realize that beauty is in the way a woman carries herself, not what size clothing she wears. So to the fashion industry, dress a woman they way you would want to be dress no matter what the size.
